Let's Try this Again

I'm going to give this another try. I've been reading a lot of other blogs so I've been finding some inspiration.

In a little over two weeks, I'm moving to a new place, "a guest cottage," in the lovely Hyde Park neighborhood north of campus and further from the chaos of fratland. This is my first big girl, adult apartment so I've decided to start fresh and leave many of my college furnishings/decorations/ugly crap behind. Unfortunately, I can't exactly have everything I want right away, so this is going to be a process of collecting stuff along the way and my journey in life.

Anyway, I've been reading a lot of design blogs to help me figure out what I like and dislike and how it all needs to come together. Here is one thing I was slobbering over this morning:

I love this bathroom..now if only I had some built in shelves and a fancy ladder, but I don't. If I remember correctly (I forgot to take photos), my new bathroom is starkly white so I want to add color by using purple/gray towels...which of course only exist in my head not in stores.

On a different note, I just got a new Macbook and I'm in love. But now I need to get an iPhone (coming to Verizon in January...the same month I have an upgrade...how convenient), because I need this:

I want this app! One of my pet peeves about laptops has always been the lack of the extra number keys...it drives me bananas because than I have to hunt and peck for numbers. Not that I spend all of my days entering numbers but still this is simple, yet genius!

And yes, I'm blogging at work and I will probably do a lot more blogging at work in the future...so get over it, I'm bored.

Reading for the Break

Tis the Season to Study

So everyone has their little study rituals and in order to concentrate there are a few things I can't focus without:

Some sort of lip balm or chapstick...right now it's this.

My phone... I need to stay connected to the outside world!

and of course some coffee and my computer.

Also some (free) music helps...right now I'm using Grooveshark (thanks for introducing me Eliz).

And on a related note...I just realized there is only 3 weeks of school left! So much to do!

Does Fort Worth ever cross your mind?

I just left Fort Worth a couple days ago...but I'm ready to go back. Austin, although I've had many good times, is making me lose touch with reality. Here is some images of the Fort that make me happy!

Love these girls (missing a few in this), they are my rock!

I love all the great Fort Worth landmarks and I'm really excited about all the development going on. There is really a great mix of old and new all with the uniqueness of Cowtown!

Looking forward to the trip home in less than two weeks for Thanksgiving and some time with family and friends!
